This is wrong. I hope other shelters / families in the state can take these people.
What is wrong with the people of Louisiana? If you have a school gym, why in God's name, isn't it a shelter? There must be 10,000 school buses in the state, but nobody wants to use their precious gas to go get them. I hope I never have to live "neighborly" Louisiana. Is the Governor on vacation, or what?

Houston has several shelters set up. They're using the Astrodome only for those evacuees from the Superdome, but Houston's mayor said today that they have other accommodations for people who don't come on the buses.
