There is however a huge money net between the American consumer and the oil companies.
Plenty of oil in the Middle East, Canada, Alaska, Mexico, Venezuela.
Doesn't anybody wonder why this country has less than five major oil refineries?
HINT: Limit product availability, raise prices, perpetually gouge the consumer and cash in at the bank.
More like no one is willing to spend $billions on court costs fighting the enviro's law suits went they try to build a new refinery.
Of all the stupid comments I have read on these boards in the last couple of days that one takes the blue ribbon.
HINT: Limit product availability, raise prices, perpetually gouge the consumer and cash in at the bank
Interesting you don't mention the true reason for lack of refineries.
Can't criticize your allies the envtorwhackos.
Whatever comrade...
Wow. It takes an astounding ignorance of both economics AND the regulatory landscape to come up with a post that stupid.
I wonder why you would think that is true?
Refiners' Total Operable Atmospheric Crude Oil Distillation Capacity as of January 1, 2005
WHERE did you come up with this?? There are more than THAT in South Louisiana alone.
HINT - the EPA has not allowed a new refinery to be built in the US in 30 years. US Oil companies would build and expand facilities in a NY minute if given the chance.
As long as environmental wingnuts run the EPA, we will ALWAYS be short of refinery capacity.
