During WWI people wandered back and forth across the border. During WWII people wandered back and forth across the border. During the Korean War people wandered back and forth across the border. During the Civil War people wandered back and forth across the border. During the Vietnam War people wandered back and forth across the border. And not ONE was an agent of our enemy.

I get it you are laboring under the delusion that the people of Mexico are our ENEMY. It was really Mexicans who flew the planes into the towers. It was really Mexicans who perpetrated terrorist acts against our country. It is really Mexicans who are attacking our soldiers in Iraq.

Are you really THAT stupid or just pretending to be?

You're full of it. The President must spend every dime that Congress appropriates for specific purposes. This has been the law for decades.

Oh, really? Well, read this story here "Resources Lacking for Border Security":

Although Bush signed legislation last December that requires the hiring of an additional 2,000 border agents, only about 10 percent of that goal has been budgeted.

Care to explain that?

Sorry but I am not among the Loons calling for the impeachment of our great president. Leave that to Cindy, DUmmies, Farah, Buchanan and apparently you. Enjoy the company.

Then you're not bothered that George refuses to stop terrorists from coming into the US from Mexico??? And you're not bothered that Bush is working on his project to eliminate our sovereign borders and turn the US along with Canada and Mexico into the 'new' North America State???

Buchannan believes that we are being invaded. In that event it is the responsibility of Congress to declare war.

I see. And the President has no comparable responsibility? His hands are tied until Congress decides to act, to declare war? Interesting. Tell me, was there a Congressional declaration of war for Afghanistan? For Iraq? Would you like Congress to declare war on Mexico?

Impeach members of Congress would be more appropriate.

That's strange---I don't recall a Constitutional provision for impeachment of Congressional members. You seem to know more about this subject than I do---cite me the provision of the Constitution that allows impeachment of members of Congress.

If it were TRUE that terrorists are coming in from Mexico that would be one thing. But since that is a ridiculous LIE I am much more concerned with the Treason Media and the antics of the Treason Party which really ARE trying to destroy this country. Apparently you are ready to join them in attacks on our great president the biggest attempt to destroy this nation at present.

As for your other ridiculous LIE it is not even worth responding to. What next news of the Alien-GOP alliance?

"I am not among the Loons calling for the impeachment of our great president"

As a genuinely great President, Abraham Lincoln, liked to say, "That reminds me of a little joke."

Joseph Stalin was addressing an Assembly of Communists. Suddenly, someone sneezed.

Stalin looks up, glowers, and demands, "Who sneezed?"

All in the audience simply look at each other fearfully, without responding.

Stalin then yells, "First row---on your feet! NKVD---Shoot them!"

As the unfortunates in the first row are shot, the rest of the communists applaud wildly and shout "Glory to great Stalin!"

As the corpses are dragged away, Stalin, his eyes gleaming homicidally, says, "Now, WHO SNEEZED?" But the audience again simply stays frightened into silence.

Again, Stalin calls for the second row to be shot, then the third, on and on. Each time the survivors are on their feet applauding wildly, shouting "Death to the enemies of the people! Long live our beloved comrade Stalin!"

Finally, when almost all the delegates have been shot out of hand, a dejected figure in the back stands up and pitifully whines, "Comrade Stalin, I abjectly confess that it was I who sneezed."

Stalin turns to the direction of the voice, looks the man in the eye, raises his hand and says:

"GESUNDHEIT, COMRADE!!!"

Some of the information has been posted numerous times on FR...It has been confirmed time and time again that most illegal drugs in the US come across the Mexican border...And what does George do??? He encourages even more to cross...

George was instrumental in forcing Jews in Israel to give up a portion of their 'promised land'...That reason alone is enough to convince ME he has to go...

Even an Ostrich pulls his head out of the sand once in a while...

Another point that needs to be made. I don't see how drug trafficking is a "family value." Here is an op-ed article from less than two weeks ago entitled "Mexican border is freeway for drug trafficking." To quote the article: "While we're focusing on terrorism and various threats to our country, we need to look at what's happening a lot closer to home than most of us like to admit."

...which can be learned fluently in about three months, especially if you befriend some of your Mexicano co-workers. It can't be the only qualification, or every Mexican would be a foreman by now.

I never said it was the "only qualification". However, all other qualifications are irrelevant if you don't speak Spanish.

Bush speaks Spanish and he's rich to begin with...those are the two necessities required for a non-Hispanic to prosper in the America that Bush envisions.

Poppycock. I don't speak spanish (at least, it's been 20 years and I'm awfully rusty), and I'm not rich--I was born in a blue-collar family, the first to finish college. My Dad worked two jobs, as a bus driver and a convenience store manager, and my mom worked in a factory. We ate mostly chicken because it was $0.25 per pound. Reagan was president, and illegals were coming into this country then as now, and I managed to finish college, get a PhD, and get a job. Doing OK now, thanks. Even supporting a family including a wife that doesn't work.

If you think that somehow "da man" stuck it to you, and you're now doomed because you don't know spanish, then quit your whining and learn spanish. Not to mention truck driving, welding, phlebotomy, plumbing or any of the thousands of things out there that need to be done. If you can't make more than an undocumented ditch-digger, then you're either unmotivated or stupid--and you're not stupid.

If impeachment will wake America up, I say DO IT!

The "genie's out of the bottle"---the subject has been raised, and by people whose views people in the Republican base read and consider. Just as Clinton could've avoided impeachment by not breaking the law, Bush can avoid impeachment by starting to enforce the law.

So, if what you claim is true, then you agree Bush should be impeached?

Apparently YOU do, because you stated in post #33: "should Bush fail or refuse to be the executive, impeach him." Remember?

Rather a sloppy stab at tossing my words back at me.

Congress, unfortunately, did not mandate the increased manning nor did they either provide funding or mandate the funding.  When by way of a supplemental funding authorization they had the chance to fund the whole enchilada for the year, they chose to fund only 650 new hires, not the 2000 they said they wanted.

Additionally, the original bill authorizing the increase spread it out over five years.  He'll be out of office by then.

For me to get to the "should Bush fail or refuse to be the executive, impeach him" stage, the above would have to be a mandate.  Not easy for one co-equal branch to impose on another.

I agree.

I may come to agree.  But, not yet.

Now the Chorus of the Ignorant have another voice shrieking its off key crap. Those of us who actually give their alligence to our nation understand that Bush is a great leader and his leadership has been superb worthy of calling him a great president.

Morons, looks, Leftists, crackpots and mopes declare their alligence to screwball ideologies rather than the nation.

Cindy will sign your petition and get her Code Pink friends to join.

Now you switch to another ridiculous LIE after being called on the prior LIE. Bush IN NO WAY "encourages" more drugs being smuggled in.

Those of us NOT delusional and who have been paying attention understand that tons of drugs have been smuggled across the Mexican border for DECADES. Long before George was even governor.

"Bush can avoid impeachment by starting to enforce the law."

This is not a standard to impeach a President.

Not exactly. See post #162 and the link thereat---it's more like a third that number. Inadequate by any definition---but GW is clearly dragging his feet on even the little extra border enforcement Congress has funded.

Still, it's good to see that we agree in principle---GW is subject to impeachment should he "fail or refuse to be the executive." That's the whole issue here.

I guess there's a double standard around here depending on where one stands on the issue, isn't there? I don't debate fanatics----I'll just note that hundreds of thousands of real heroes died 60 years ago making sure that the citizens of this nation never had to endure the placing of any one man above the rule of law in our system of government. Any decent American still hallows their sacrifice today. That's all I have to say to you, or anyone like you.

This is not a standard to impeach a President.

I'm not going to debate you if you don't care if Bush observes his oath of office to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States or not. Whether or not it is a standard to impeach him is up to Congress and its constituents, the citizens of the United States.

Sixty years ago there was no such thing as an illegal alien. Mexicans wandered back and forth across the border without concern from anyone.

No one is being "placed above the Law" though your ilk certainly crawls around under it spreading your malodourus bile.
