I can see people stubbornly holding onto an "it can't happen here" viewpoint, because deaths in the thousands from this storm are horrible to contemplate. But I would urge everyone to go back to MFH's original post. It is not "hysterical" as some have claimed, nor is it in any way an unlikely scenario. For example, Fox News recently reported Biloxi is "destroyed" and "littered with bodies." The scenario presented by MFH's paramedic friend would seem to fit that sort of description. Those who called this storm a "monster" had it right on the money.

The word "thousands," and the 30-bodies-per-tree claim is pretty damn hysterical. When this thing is over, someone will have to offer appy polly loggies, and it will be the original poster on this thread.
