The braying of a jackass!!!
I was hoping NO would come out of this with relatively few deaths. The water did rise slower there than in most places. If indeed thousands are dead in that city, there is no question that thousands died in MS.
This is extremely risky, here are my 2 cents:
This is from post #1 from MFH
"The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities."
What was originally about Gulf Port, Mississippi and 3 other beach communities DID NOT not extend to MFH declaring that the mayor of Orleans (would) say there were hundreds of deaths in New Orleans...maybe thousands."
Perhaps a lot of us (me included) extrapolated and thought MFH's source implied that thousands perhaps perished on the Mississippi coast. And that is NOT the case.
Now, NOLA may well be another issue but was not the original topic of the thread.
The post by MFH has degenerated into shooting the messenger rather than the messenger. And then in turn, has deteriorated into us "shooting" each other.
Regardless, people have suffered and will continue to do so. Let's focus on solutions/ contributions to agencies, etc.
FRegards
The New Orleans Mayor's comments of the last hour are another data point on the horrible potential that in fact the final death tol will be measured in thousands.
