"As it was, the Sodom of the South got off comparatively easily, and it was the god-shouters of Mississippi, the buckle on the Bible Belt, that got the brunt of it."

Where do you people get this crap? LOL. Sometimes even FR is hard to take. You watch too many movies.

Too many vehicles in the driveways for many to have evacuated, imho.

Crews Pass Dead to Reach Storm Survivors

By BRETT MARTEL

Associated Press Writer

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Rescuers along the hurricane-ravaged Gulf Coast pushed aside the dead to reach the living Tuesday in a race against time and rising waters, while New Orleans sank deeper into crisis and Louisiana's governor ordered storm refugees out of this drowning city

--snip--

New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin said hundreds, if not thousands, of people may still be stuck on roofs and in attics, and so rescue boats were bypassing the dead.

"We're not even dealing with dead bodies," Nagin said. "They're just pushing them on the side."

Some of the prophetic docs at the link ... speak about such things happening supposedly between now and the end of January, if I recall correctly.

Oh yeah, it takes a real prophet to vaguely predict a hurricane between August and January.

Tell you what, give me latitude and longitude of the next hurricane's landfall, then we can talk about so-called prophecy.

There would have been 20K+/- people left.

Those poor people...

I hope at least some of them are still alive, and can be rescued in time. What a horror.

I especially like this prophecy:

"By the end of the year [2005], your country (UNITED STATES) will be ravaged by unseen forces."

gasp!

Don't forget the reporters claimed 20 or 30 thousand would be dead in the World Trade Center attack on 9/11. That figure turned out to be way off.

If the bastards had hit just a little bit later in the morning, there WOULD have been that many people murdered. It was only because they hit before most people had showed up for work that the number was "only" three thousand or so.

Unfortunately that kind of math does not apply to people in their homes.

at least some of the prophetic sources may well be more right than wrong.

Either they are ALL correct in every detail, or they are witchcraft and shamanism and self-delusion.

"Then He didn't change his mind!!"

I don't think he gets involved on our level except to allow us to develop weather forecasting, give us radio and tv to get the warnings out relatively early, and modern transportation to carry us away (with relative speed) from areas that probably will get hit.

If people ignore all the warnings that is not God's doing, it was human....

Governor Barbour said that after an aerial tour of the Mississippi coast.

It chills me but I fear the obsession over New Orleans by the national press may have contributed to any problems due to folks not evacuating.

Good link, thanks.
This from the same link: "Across Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama, more than 1 million residents remained without electricity, some without clean drinking water. An untold number who heeded evacuation orders were displaced and 40,000 were in Red Cross shelters, with officials saying it could be weeks, if not months, before most will be able to return."

Refrigeration trucks on their way in the next 12 hours to start a base for body i.d.'s,body bag orders way up. The odd thing is he said he has seen absolutely no media where they have been going into.
======
My husband talked with a trucker who said a friend of his who drives a "refrigeration truck" had taken ice to a staging location and was being paid by FEMA to wait there for orders. The thought had not occurred to me that his truck could be used for that purpose after the ice is dispensed.

The scope of this thing is almost incomprehensible, if your friend is right. Morgues in the surrounding areas will be very busy. Those bodies will have to be identified, then the burials and cremations, and all that that involves, plus the demands of restoring some sort of order and normalcy for the living. Overwhelming. God be with us.

At MSNBC they are posting stories sent in by viewers/readers. This would be a darn good one to post. None of the MSM have picked up on it yet. Here's the link: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/9076525/

Scroll down the page.

Also, have you e-mailed this to Drudge?
