Another factor that could be limiting media reports of the death toll is the banning of news helicopters from the area. What you can't see, you can't report.
I haven't hit the abuse button on you. Not worth bothering.
You got a bigger ego than Cindy Sheehan.
Hiya cyncooper! Long time no see!
I don't disagree. That's entirely different than calling the poster of the thread a troll and doing it to "pull everyone's chain". Or that it shouldn't be posted because its "hear say" and there's no supporting links. Obviously...
As far as thousands dead? Who knows.
I'll be surprised if not in the high hundreds and could easily be a thousand.
We all may need a Pamprin before the day is over if this keeps up. LOL.
Allah did it.
MFH isa reliable source. The fact that admin has allowed the article to remain when it is not media sourced is proof of that.
Gulfport. The pre-storm close-up of that former city shows where they came inland from. The now defunct Chiquita Banana facility where one fourth of their produce imports entered the U.S. They were stacked together like the planes on Ford Island at Pearl Harbor, and now they are scattered like blown newspaper, not just one mile, but six miles inland. Human remains are under under some of them, like the Railroad in Sri Lanka.
Wow...ooo...ouch...compare me to the Ditch Witch.
Was that suppsoed to hurt?
Should I cry now?
Should I whine to the Admin Mod to issue a time out for you?
*shakes head*
Definitely.
No doubt a few posters on this thread are WELL into the grog. The spelling and sentence construction keeps deteriorating! :-)
Not that i've never been there before. Just not this early in the morning!
I'm sure that there are 200-500 dead, but several thousand? Pulling bodies out of trees and homes, etc. and absolutely no mention of this from the MSM? How can that be? How or why would the rescuers stay silent? Would the governors, state officials, etc. not get the word out?
Either the 'friend' is playing a terrible hoax on you and you repeated it at this forum, or...
Sorry, I just can't believe it without corroborating news from a reputable source.
I join in prayer for all those suffering such loss!
actually this was a HUGE storm surge. I don't think camille's was this large, and certainly not so wide.
I saw a report of a Shrimp boat found 5 miles inland.
Actually its a him that he questioned on estrogen levels. Which, thinking about it, makes it pretty dammed funny. But I had it coming - I responded to his second personal comment with a suggestion that he take some Midol.
(sigh) I should force myself to never post here prior to my second cup of coffee.
On all the news reports I've read, it said the death toll could be as high as 80 people. When you are pulling even 50 bodies, I'm sure it seems like thousands.
Yep, but Barbour has shown me and others some leadership. Good on him.
God help the living and God bless those that have gone.
And before your third beer.
