Amen. Yeah, I kind of left that out in my "brilliant" analysis, didn't I? You need a place to pump the water into. Putting it right back into the Lake isn't going to pay the landlord here, is it?

I appreciate the job the engineers did on the pumps back in the day. It is absolutely amazing that their work has held up for so long (though it should not have needed to last this long). If the town is rebuilt, however, I hope the pump system is much more elaborate, resilient, and has takes into account things like this.
