Seriously, you're a mighty fine human being to be opening up your home. My nieces' in-laws lived just below Lake Ponchartrain in Metairie, and their house is likely filled with water. They're in a hotel, but they're coming up here in a week or so, and we've offered our spare bedroom to them until they can figure out what to do. Don't know if they'll accept. We can take a couple, or a couple with one kid.
I've been thinking the same thing. I'd gladly put up a family. We are empty nesters and have extra room.
