Are we opening up our homes to Freeper survivors yet. We can take a family of 4. We have food, water, housing and good schools.

Hey YR. How's the little one?

That's probably a good idea if anyone is interested.

Maybe a thread should be started just for that. How would we organize a drive like that?

I'm in CO but would be happy to help however I am able.

I was thinking the same thing today, Ms. Rose. Wonder where to go to offer housing and such to families?

No hurricanes out there in Midland, either, are there? LOL!!

Seriously, you're a mighty fine human being to be opening up your home. My nieces' in-laws lived just below Lake Ponchartrain in Metairie, and their house is likely filled with water. They're in a hotel, but they're coming up here in a week or so, and we've offered our spare bedroom to them until they can figure out what to do. Don't know if they'll accept. We can take a couple, or a couple with one kid.

I've been thinking the same thing. I'd gladly put up a family. We are empty nesters and have extra room.
