Actually, except for the two blocks just east of Canal, the rest of Bourbon is above 5 feet in elevation according to the topo map.

So they are high and dry. Let's see where the water is at tomorrow. Don't know what else to do, do you?

No, and some poster said Lake Pontchatrain is still 4 feet above sea level at its center, and the mayor said the water could go as much as 3 feet above sea level, so maybe the Mississippi levees are OK. One would think that the lake would get back to near sea level in fairly short order, since it has a pretty big gap out into the gulf, but I don't know how that lake works, or what tides it is subject to.
