It is 2.69 today and last week it was "only" 2.49.
Still something about GA gas prices not quite right. We have the lowest (or close to it) gas taxes in the nation. And for a long while our prices reflected it. But now we have higher prices than surrounding states, even with the lower tax. Someone, somewhere is gouging us.
Both of those would drive up the price of gas compared to elsewhere.
Michigan gas was 2.74. Up a nickel since yesterday
Did NC suspend some of it's gas tax? I thought they were considering it.
Anyway, why I ask is that here in north GA, near the border with NC, we have almost always had gas on average fifteen to twenty cents cheaper than NC. Lately, we've been the same or at times even higher. Right now we're at 2.76 for mid-grade. We were at 2.61 Saturday. Yesterday was 2.69.

We've always had low gas prices here in NJ, also. Last week it was $2.50 here in south Jersey. I just filled up 1/2 hour ago....$2.59 at Hess. The gas station attendant....for all those who don't know we can't pump our own gas in NJ, told me it's going up to $3.00 on Friday.
