If you placed any one of these "liberal" cities in this same situation, you'd have looting, lawlessness, etc.

You are WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!! I lived in SF for the '89 earthquake and in Seattle for the '01 earthquake, and in both cases, looting was minimal.

The '01 Seattle quake was a joy ride. Nothing like the devastation in the South right now.
