They can't do anything with the stolen merchandise....that's why their behavior is even more demented....they can't even use anything they're stealing.....
unless it's food/water.
I guess they could barter....
I saw looters after the Northridge Earthquake...in expensive areas...they were stealing everything from donuts to office furniture.
