To: Black Tooth

What I don't understand is....if they KNOW that the sewer is flooding the Superdome, then why would they be transferring patients from hospitals there?

Or, does someone on this thread know if they changed their minds about using the Superdome for patients?

I am thinking maybe some ships from Galveston...the passenger cruise ships could go to that area, and they could maybe get boats or helicopters and transfer people to them, and take them to Florida or Texas....

I think they misreported. Those patients were being evacuated out to Baton rouge and beyond. They were not going to the dome.

This is an LST. The have a very shallow draft and that thing on the front can unfold several hundred yards to become a temporary pier. This is what they need.

The cruise ships already come with their own tender craft. You could pick up 2,500 people at a shot with one of those big boys.
