Whether it's legal or not, both KALB and the Town Talk are reporting that evacuees are being forced to check out of their motel rooms in order to accommodate other guests with incoming reservations. This has created a domino effect because the former motel guests are spilling into the shelters. As a result, Avoyelles Parish is now reporting that all of its shelters (including Paragon Casino Resort) are completely full. In Pineville, the Pentecostals have opened their large campground as a shelter site, and the city is allowing people in shelters to use showers at certain public schools during evening hours.
