That is a very deceptive and misleading description of how the Commission was formed. The Traitor Media and the Party of Treason dragged the President into forming it and made it politically dangerous for him not to accept it. All in all it will rebound in his favor since it was so egregiously flawed and that flaw we jumped on right away. It is totally discredited and is now a weapon to be used against the Party of Treason.

Once again the Left's plans blow up in its face.

Well I hope you are right but this story is just a gentle breeze in the MSM. And yes Bush was under a lot of political pressure to form up the committee. That's OK. Form the committee. But don't let Jamie Gorelick on that committee. That was simple incompetence on the part of the Republicans. They were out negotiated and out maneuvered when the committee was formed and it was Bush's responsibility to insure that didn't happen.

If Weldon can hang on long enough and get some support in the Senate (it won't we Specter) and the White House (not going to happen IMHO) then indeed it may all blow up in our favor. The Dems knew they were taking a chance opening up the Clinton pre-9/11 can of worms but their insane hatred of Bush forced them to take the chance.

Time will tell. I hope you are right.

- I read recently that when the Commission membership was first proposed by the Bush Administration, the Dems objected so strenuously to two of the independent nominees that the Administration caved and accepted the Dems proposal that they be removed and replaced by Gorelick and Ben-Veniste.

There was no negoitiation as to who the members would be. Had Bush objected the Traitor Media would just have turned his objection into a politically dangerous lie about his motives. It had an opportunity to drive Gorelick out as it did Kissinger but preferred to leave her alone.

However, since WE were watching and on the ball we knew it would not end there and NOW the bat is in our hands and it is time to swing away.
