The Rescue...
On NBC tonight, I saw some video of that stuff FALLING into the stadium.........the people had to run to get away from it........the rain was coming in like a waterfall! The pieces were HUGE.
People were telling me yesterday that I was crazy to think the dome roof would be suspect. The largest open span at 680 feet across built 30 years ago and with repairs, maintenance and new skin since.
Glad it held up as well as it did. Prayers to all.
I caught part of that rescue replayed on Fox or Cnn. It was remarkable. The house looks like it's listing off to the right in that shot, it seems the boat got to them in the nick of time. It must have seemed like eons waiting on the roof in the storm and it's aftermath hoping to be rescued. The Dome damage is extensive. But those lucky folks inside were spared and somewhat dry.
Two people at the Super Dome were killed. All I have from Fox News.
