Freepers beware of any too good of a deal on a car. Check for water lines in the doors and trunk. Cars will be totaled because of flood damage but someone can then try to sell them for a good price, often shipped to other parts of the Country.

If you check out a vehicle on Carfax, you can find out if the car has a salvage title for any reason.

There are actually businesses that specialize in such salvage autos for resale. We visited one in Searcy, Arkansas. Yes, cheap prices, but boy-what a risk you take. If the price is REALLY cheap, and you can get the electrical and such checked out, you might be ok for an occaisional driver.... But yes, be careful.
