Yup---Following Alabama Counties have Tornado Warnings out:

Western Coffee County - City of Elba
Western Pike County - City of Troy
Russell County
Eastern Macon County - City of Tuskegee

I'm in Elmore county, and I am surrounded by tornado warnings!!!!

OK I think i have sorted through the USS Alabama mess -- Mostly thanks to a local radio station which just played a recap of some of their coverage.

They happened to play the phone call from Mobile, and now it seems that it was very poor word choice by the official.

To paraphrase : We are having disasterous flooding, and we think that one of our states Icons may not have survived. It appears that the USS Alabama memorial has been completely submerged, it is just gone.

Now after reading numerous print stories it appears that what is submerged is the park and all of the buildings. I am hopeful that that is the case and that the Alabama is not what is "submerged"
