Jeanne Meserve (CNN) is reporting LIVE from NO and says they can see the roof of the Superdome and it has been "shredded".

Brian Williams just gave a report from inside the Superdome. It was a pretty calm report, no mention of the roof "shredding".

roof of the Superdome and it has been "shredded". I heard earlier that people inside were hunkering down under the concrete areas... like concession stands and corridors.
