Perhaps you should be concerned. In the Floods of '93, Mississippi levies broke in a couple of places between St. Louis and Davenport IA.

got up to see the 4 AM report, and am hopeful that the pressure is up, and let us all pray that it keeps rising.

Shep on Fox news just now sounded upbeat because of the news that the cane seems to be weakening, and heading more toward the east of NO. I am confused, however, from from reading the weather guys on their forums arguing about which side would be better for the cane to head for...

I have learned enough not to pay much attention to wind reports, but to the "millebars" which is a better indicator, or so they say, of what is going on within the cane.
