Falling on the floor,,I am off to make cinnamon toast because of another poster. But first I have to offend a couple of people. Never mind, I am being good tonite.
I don't know if anyone has covered this, but I have heard that New Orleans could be flooded for up to six months. My question is, what, if anything is done about underground fuel storage, chemical plants and such? Will the entire city just be a bowl of chemical soup?
I was about to post a big whiny complaint about how this thread should be re-titled since there is no storm discussion on it. But since you posted that great idea for broiled cinnamon toast, I changed my mind.
I'm going to try it on a bagel.
I don't think there will much of a morning commute in NO tomorrow.
I am just praying that none of my company's employees in our office there get harmed.
And I'm praying that NO's roads will be just as packed as usual during the morning commute on Thursday or Friday...
Dumb question, but what would keep the Dome from flooding if the city floods?
How do you make powdered cinnamon all i have is the sticks ?
That was Senator Mary Landrieu who thanked President Bush. At least, she's the one who I heard say that. I thought that was pretty decent of her and I wondered if he would get a similar thank you if this storm were hitting NY or CA?
throw out the peppers and the tomatoes and double the okra and it's about right.
the homies looked like they were waiting for the lights to go out...

That was my error, I forgot to type all in the box. I've already apologized to her.
That's exactly what the NO radar shows - a few wobbles, but going straight north.

Yes...one must grovel properly. Signing off, going back to 100% Fox News where one can voice an opinion without having to worry about having ones cable shut off. Many thanks to Nautinurse....SHE did a fantastic job.
Any insurance companies that will go bankrupt over this? I think it is a possibility.
Louisiana's U.S. senators - Mary Landrieu and David Vitter - today sent a joint letter to President Bush, thanking him for his declaration of emergency in the state and his public comments urging residents to flee Hurricane Katrina.
They also urged the president "respectfully but in the strongest possible terms to tour the devastated area as soon as practical," a visit they said would reassure residents that federal agencies are focused on helping the area recover.
Thanks----not too sharp this evening.
Well, I won't be "cluttering" YOUR thread---going to bed for a while...
