I agree -- KTs vs. mph. 140 KTs translates to about 161mph, which is consistent.
Getting this secondhand but looks like she is still 904 MB. Will post for sure as soon as I can confirm.
I was taping the mayor and just rewound the tape. He said "I think I just got a report that shows it down to 140."
That would explain it. The eye is still well-defined and it still has a annular shape. A 20mph drop in wind strength would be a little good news. But it doesn't look like that's what happened. Probably a KTS to MPH conversion thing like you said.
