Looks like today is Hemmer's first day - Shep just welcomed him aboard. Don't know when he was due to start, but betcha they called him in early to cover this.
I think I had read where Hemmer was due to start tomorrow, the 29th. Given the weather story going on I'm he was called in early--he sure has plenty of experience.
