As an international statesman John Howard is second to none and I am very proud that we have a leader like him representing Australia. Some of his domestic policies are leave a lot to be desired though especially things to do with industrial relations. But his government has been first-rate on issues to do with the threat of terrorism and their support of the coalition on the WOT.
No human on the face of the earth is perfect. There are things about President Bush's domestic policies I would change were it possible. But on balance, these are two exceptional men who met the challenges of exceptional times.
