I find it inconceivable that a city built in a bowl that experiences Cat 4 or higher every 30 years or so does not have an evac plan that includes military transport, both ground and air. And yet here we are.
The problem is the bowl being on Lake Pontchatrain. Having a bowl at the end of a water funnel is what makes it so dangerous. Of course, the wind speeds are another matter. The suggestion that high rises might collapse is just mind boggling.
