Can somebody give me a link to that NWS statement. I looked for it on the NWS website, but couldn't find it...at least not in those precise words.

I'm not dialed in yet and do not have a link to that statement.
However, the language is consistent with my expectations of what 175 mph winds are capable of. Amdrew took down reinforced concrete at only 165 mph.
