The item on the SuperDome not being opened until tomorrow was dated YESTERDAY, so it MAY be opened today.

I can't believe that they don't have some plan in place to help the elderly and the stranded tourists get out of town on busses or trains or something! What will happen to those people?

I heard on WDSU that the dome was going to be open to all comers (in dire need) at 12pm today, central.

I feel bad for the people who will be caught on the Lake Pontchatrain bridge during the storm. Could you imagine being miles out in a lake stuck in traffic why waves crash over you and you are hit with 175+ mph winds? Horrible.
