The guy from LSU on fox just said they'd still be released. Above ground (our family tomb is high and in one of the highest parts of the city on the old metairie ridge) will still be below water. I am literally sick to my stomach.

leilani, my heart goes out to you. Please try to remember that your father is not in the tomb...just his earthly remains.
Sorry, leilani, about your family vault. Know how you feel. My grandmother is buried in Metarie too, but below ground. I'm totally devastated. She was the most-loved relative I ever had.
I wish there was something I could do; your agony is heartwrenching. Please keep reminding yourself that your Dad is not really in NO anymore. Heck, he's probably looking down on you and worrying about YOU. :-) ((((..hugs from all of us!..))))
My mother and sister live above New Orleans. They have gone to a relative's house in Baton Rouge. I-10 West was a parking lot or they would come to me here in Texas. If the power is going to be out for a while afterwards as expected, they will then try to come stay here.
