NO ...! This is potentially a catastrophic weather event .. people need to made aware of how dangerous conditions will most likely be in this area .. New Orleans is below sea level, and this is a deadly storm!

I'm a HUGE supporter of the Crawford FReep ..I wish I could be there. It's very important and wonderful that there's so much good support there, and that the message of the patriots and freedom lovers gets out to counter the MSM and the Witch in the Ditch's mis-impressions out there.

However, at this moment, the people in the strike area of the storm, with the many hours it will take to prep or make plans .. NEED TO KNOW NOW AND EVACUATE this area, and it's vital that the message gets repeated frequently, as more National Hurricane Center info comes in. EVERY MINUTE COUNTS at this point. I'm worried that they waited too long to start the process. We're talking about the credible belief of the strong likelihood of Cat. 3-5 storm and winds of 130mph+.

If Ivan had not missed New Orleans, it's estimated that 40-60,000 would have perished.

Disclosure: spoken as one who lost it all in Hurricane Andrew.

That's fine, what about the puppies story, the 57 year old murder case, and other fluff they're showing?

I have to agree with STAR. they are calling for storm surges of between 18-21 ft if it tags New Orleans.. If those people do not get out, people are going to die.

I hear you and people do need to be warned; however, they are also running a lot of inane stories that don't need to be run right now.

I have been following this thread and actually agree with you on the hurricane info. That will save lives.

But...I would like to put off the Able Danger, Border Security, Supreme Court and, for crying out loud...57 year old murder investigations, puppy rescues, Lance Armstrong and No news is no news from Aruba coverage.

I say...Hurricane first, Rallies/Protests second, the rest of this after that.

One of the really difficult hurdles conservatives face here is that although there was some help getting this thing going...we are not being paid to be there and must go back to work on Monday. Weekends are death for this kind of news when all the bid dogs are home. Drives me nuts.

All I can say is PRAY for the people in Crawford and New Orleans.

I don't really think any of us are unsymathetic to what New Orleans may be facing...

Unfortunately, with all of the "redundant" news on the weekend FNC channel, you would think that they could make at least 15 minutes an hour available for this rally.

BTW, isn't it odd how that hurricane went from a non-event, to hitting Eastern Florida, to hitting the Fla. panhandle, to hitting between Miss. and Ala...and NOW, New Orleans, and it could be a cat. 4!!!!

Shoot by the time it really hits, it could be in Mexico...but still, I see the true importance for New Orleans above most cities it might strike!

Prayers up from Texas to all in La.

#502...I agree with you, but there is next to no coverage of the Crawford event, and that's why folks are so upset!

I'm upset!

Thanks for that perspective.
