My family and I were talking about this yesterday....One thing that kept the "silent majority" silent during nam was the fear of violence.....FOr some reason, it doesn't exist today. If any of you have dealt with someone in denial often their reaction when someone confronts them is extreme anger and sometimes violence.
IMO that's what we're dealing with with SINdy and CO......Crawford police and organizers did an excellent job of keeping the two groups seperated.....
(Wonder if Martinville police will do the same or just let the town folks have at 'em today? Someone mentioned earlier...Martinville is NOT a town for anti war demonstrators!)Hope a freeper can give us a first hand report.
You've hit it right on the nail. The left is afraid. They haven't bothered to look at their situation and realize that the actual chances of any one of us being hurt by the war is slim to non-existent (other than maybe in the pocketbook) but like people who have free-floating anxiety they've just given in to their fear. They're the kind of folks as kids would have given their lunch money away to the school bully. The rest of us would have punched him in the nose before he got it off us, even if we lost the fight. So, in a real sense the left are afraid of a fight. But they'll be happy to fight you...especially if you're a little old lady with a blue rinse and a "Go Bush" sign, cause that's all the courage they can muster.
The coward dies a thousand deaths; the brave man only once!
Could it have something to do with the wave of states passing "Shall issue" CHL laws? Couldn't have hurt.
