NHC guy on 870 AM radio said animals are leaving the coast. "Flocks of snakes and turtles".
Are you serious?
Well, flocks of snakes and turtles heading inland is enough for me! ANYONE IN NEW ORLEANS GET OUT!!!
The animals always know.
The same thing happened in SouthEast Asia before the Tsunami of Dec. 26th, 2004 in the Indian Ocean...hmmmm
It is the most amazing thing -- just like before the typhoon. Low frequency vibrations or something? They're smarter than the people in the Oyster Bar, that's for sure. The one guy's working on his sixth or seventh "Cheer for Katrina"
Yes, I heard it....
And I assume you heard the caller that lived in a trailer that thought it was going to be a bad storm because his neighbor's dog is named Katrina.....
*makes my skin crawl*
I saw several snakes yesterday when I was mowing. I don't live that far north from the coast far as the crow flies, lots of water and marshes in between. I always pay attention to the critters. The gators better stay away. ;)
Soon to be followed by a "herd of birds".
Really, animals seem to have a sense for natural stuff - I'd probably follow the snakes and turtles.
Those are some smart turtles. Too bad they're so slow. I wonder how many yards they can cover before the 'cane hits on Monday?
There are going to be alot of dead and homeless animals up there.....so sad.....
Bad sign. I'm lurking out here in earthquake country. Animals get very agitated before quakes. Either their senses are more attuned than ours or God is taking care of His creatures. Maybe both.
Good luck to everybody out there.
Snakes and Turtles KNOW SOMETHING.
This means more to me than all the scientific forecasting.

.....
Like what occurred during the last tsunami, animals prove they're smarter than humans when it comes to basic survival "instincts".
