NBC reporter got into the jail and took live shots of Joran reading a book (with his feet propped up, which caused a great deal of consternation among the media pundits). Aruban jailer who let them in was fired and Aruban LE forbid NBC from airing the footage except inside the jail. The warden, in the meantime, made several comments about Joran's temper and so on. Tempest in a teapot.

It is so apropriate that his name is pronounced "Urine" - and the original spelling of his name was 'van der slut' -
