The only crisis is what the price gouging is doing to our economy.

Please explain then why I just paid $.25 less a gallon today at the SAME gas station I filled up at last Wednesday?

I just took a peek at the oil futures and while they are up over .50 today/bbl, the unleaded gas futures are below $1.90 wholesale. They were in the $1.98-$2.00 range last week.

However, the LaCrosse, WI retail prices are about what they were last week: $2.55 at the discount Kwik Trips.

It could be your station just bought a supply that was cheaper than last week's and decided to lower their price and make up the difference on volume. If they sell more than gasoline, then they could also be counting on increased non-gas sales, as well.
