Today President Bush, in an unscheduled appearance, stood with Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne, and talked with the press in Donnelly, Idaho, fielding questions about Iraq, Israel and Cindy Sheehan. Tomorrow he is scheduled to make a speech to the Idaho National Guard and thank them for their service.

THE PRESIDENT: I may bike today. I've been on the phone all morning. I spent a little time with the CIA man this morning, catching up on the events of the world. And as I said, I talked to Condi a couple of times. Tonight I'm going to be dining with the Governor and the delegation from Idaho, spend a little quality time with the First Lady here in this beautiful part of the world. I may go for a bike ride.
Q Any fishing?
THE PRESIDENT: I don't know yet. I haven't made up my mind yet. I'm kind of hanging loose, as they say. (Laughter.)

He still looks tired for a guy on a "long vacation" as we hear every day from the media. I have long believed he doesn't know what that word means...and it's simply working from a different location in his mind!

Hello,
Thanks for doing this. We are going down to B'ham Thursday to see the doctor about my arm and shoulder. Daughter is going down with me so she can see him about her knee. She was in the Army and injured it so severely that she got a medical discharge. It has really been bothering her lately.

Yeah...........he works more on his 'vacations' than most people do in their jobs.

It's gotta be colder in Idaho than Crawford, TX, right now!
I hope President Bush and Laura get to spend some quality quiet time together, away from the hubub in Crawford. That part of Idaho is really beautiful, had relatives who used to live there.
