Just more rhetoric!
We would get quicker results if we started to deport those who hire illegals.
careful, you might suffocate yourself!
You think?
Where have these people been for the past 10 plus years?
The statement in itself is an outrage.
I'll believe it when I drive along the border and see American troops planting land mines and stringing concertina.
Don't piss on my leg and tell me it is raining! The Bushies don't care about illegals never have, never will.
Wake me when the trains are loaded up heading back to Mexico. Until then I wont be holding my breath.
After 911, and still being asleep at the switch, I no longer trust any of them.
Be very aware.
Here comes the elections.....Fool me twice? I don't think so.
They've been standing back for the past 20 years, and its just gotten worse. I think its time they got off thier butts and did something other than spew hot air. One thing I know for sure, its going to take some one heck of a salesman to get me to trust either a republican or a democrat to do something on this issue, and for me, its the issue thats going to be deciding my vote until its taken care of.
Why stop there. Lets deport the politicians that are refusing to deal with the problem in an effective manner.
AMEN! No one expects an "overnight" solution, but first stop the bleeding and let Local and State authorities turn over the illegals they routinely encounter, for deportation.
Gee, Mike, why the hurry? You guys have only had five years to think about it. Government-issued BS.
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled FEDS VOW TO GET TOUGH ON ILLEGALS, Minnesoootan wrote:
Whenever I hear the "fence" proposal I start to think of wild animals and the free range they have down there,a triple fence some 20ft high would probably have some deep ecological affect....sounds kinda green, but, that is a legit issue
The Northern border I'm familiar with here(BWCA) it would be impossible to do this because the majority of the border runs right down the middle of chains of lakes and rivers, and the wild animal issue is in play there also, probably more so...the wolf lovers would have a fit
Any thoughts on those problems?
Less talk, more action on illegal immigration would mean something. Its getting to the point I don't believe the administration when they talk about controlling it.
It seems that President Foxx is running the show in D.C. and Bush is out to lunch.
Translation: AMNESTY
The "solution" America DOESN'T want.
I respectfully disagree with you--President Bush DESERVES to be bashed on this issue (as well as many others, but especially this one). He is part of the Elitist movement that believes in global governance & wishes to erase all national borders...& the leadership of the Republican & Democratic Parties are filled with these one-world globalists (you can't rise to such a high level within the 2 major parties without being one).
"We have established working groups with ardent goals and short deadlines to make recommendations for better enforcement strategies all across the operations spectrum," Chertoff wrote in a Monday letter to Democratic Gov. Janet Napolitano of Arizona.
He also called immigration enforcement an issue of utmost importance.
