The snake or my daughters...hhhmmmm
LOL
I read somewhere that the Eastern Diamondback is indeed an endangered species.
Have never seen one here in CenTex but we have plenty of Western Diamondbacks.
Live fairly close to Sweetwater, TX, famous for the annual "Rattlesnake Roundup"
I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible, either hunting, fishing or just generally enjoying the surroundings.
Have encountered hundreds over the years but have better sense than trying to pick one up.

I grew up on a golf course, and my brothers and I were mesmerized by the moccasins trapped in the huge drains on the course some 20 feet deep. Also growing up near water and in the woods, we encountered snakes all the time. They are fascinating, but oops! All it takes is to be bitten just once.
