Not a barf.
Evolution is what scientists use to study much of biology.
ID and Creation do not belong in science classes because there is no scientific approach to studying them.
This is my concern - faith is a gift and when there is a need to find scientific support for faith something is wrong.
Everyone should check out "Privileged Planet." It is
FASCINATING and chock full of astrophysics, astrobiology,
mathematics--all pointing to design rather than chance.
It is NOT religious fanatics speaking but brilliant
scientists talking about their observations, research,
etc. After hearing all the vitriol, I decided to check
out what all the fuss is. See this movie!
Charles Darwin stated in his Origin of Species that If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.
Irreducible Complexity is still being investigated.
Pardon me for pointing this out - but this is an open query in the field of biology today, openly discussed in many scientific journals regarding the basic structure of biological organisms and their adaptation, or inability to adapt, in a changing environment.
It is appropriate to have open discussions in a classrom where one SHOULD question scientific dogma.
People used to think the world was flat.
"ID and Creation do not belong in science classes because there is no scientific approach to studying them."
Yes but it also a fault of logic when asserting that because there is not as yet a way of studying a subject based on the "scientific method", the subject there-fore has no potential for existence. Tautologies can neither be provewn true or false...or falsified....neither can they be assumed to be true OR FALSE with out violating logic.
The scientific method did not create our Bill of Rights or our constitution, the dreams of men for freedom...birthed from a Judeo-Christian consenses and moral consciousness, did that. Now try using the scientific method to explain the validity of that!
