This apparently went beyond "somone lawfully open carrying asking others to mind their manner." By CholeraJoe's own admission (heck, the very point of the thread), those manners were
enforced because he was carrying a gun, circled around slowly so the group could see it. The clear, unambiguous message CholeraJoe sent was, "I have this gun, and if you don't shut up, I'm willing to use it." Otherwise, why would he circle around the group so the kids could see the gun?
This isn't a guy who happened to be armed politely asking the kids to quiet down. This is a hot-head displaying his still-holstered weapon for them to see to make them shut up.
