Breaking
Is Pat Robertson at it again (praying?)
God Bless him and Godspeed to a full recovery.
LOL! My brain just goes haywire when I read "Turdbin in charge of the senate"! Hence I could not control my fingies!
Ahhh, the joy of getting pleasure from someone else's misfortune. As they say in the McDonald's commercials "I'M LOVING IT"
Where's Chappaquiddick Fats?
I'll pray for him to realize how evil he is & repent, but I won't pray for him to have health and prosperity in the midst of his evil.
For some reason you posted this on the "Battle for your home" thread...so I will repeat myself.
Frankly, my statement was not a gratuitous slap at a sick man....it is a statement in fact.... I would detest being in his position...having to defend lies and damn lies.. But...that is his choice... Seriously...I hope the best for him medically and the worse for him politically... I can separate the 2...can you?
As long as it's "minority" leader.
It would probably be Durbin, he's next in line.
As far as this thread I want you to imagine if Cheney had a heart attack and what the DUer's would be saying, I think people here at FRee Republic for the most part are much more enlightened that the DUmmies.
There, I read your thread, FReep on my FRiend.
So I take it that "heaping hot coals on the head" as part of praying for a bad person, is a good thing?
Seems rather, well, ambiguous in the good department if you ask me. But it does allow one to pray with a clear conscience while knowing the old head of the despised one is getting some hot coals poured on it.
IIRC, per his religion, {he's Mormon {go figure, 85% of Mormons are conservative}}, very few people go to hell. Being a political scoundrel does not qualify.
He'd better watch out. I had a mini-stroke and had to go to the hospital years ago. Now whenever I get really angry, my whole right side goes a little numb. Needless to say, that's how I got into yoga, meditation, cotrolled breathing, etc. A minor stroke is usually a prelude to a bigger one if you aren't careful.
Precisely. We're better than they are, at least we're supposed to be. I don't like seeing Freepers act like DUmmies.
As long as it's "minority" leader. It would probably be Durbin, he's next in line.
Oh, I doubt it. My guess is that if Reid stepped down for any reason, he'd be succeeded by Hillary Clinton. With her in that highly visible position, the media would enthusiastically report that she was steering the Democrats in a "moderate" direction, and would publish drooling, sycophantic stories about what a uniter she was, and how she's even earned the respect of her Republican colleagues, and how she's not at all a radical leftist. The other Senate Democrats would definitely accede to this, since it would serve to dramatically boost her chances in 2008. We don't want that.
Fox news just reported that he is doing fine....and that his physician prescribed "down-time".... I rest my case. I am thankful that he is better.
BTW this bullhockey fixation of yours may need professional treatment......I hope it's not long-lasting....GRIN
Question: what are the symptoms of a stroke, or are there any?
I heard a radio commercial from Onstar where there's a tape of a caller saying, "my ____ is having a stroke." I've never heard anyone allege what they are seeing in real time is a stroke.
Actually, it causes them discomfort because they know they are wrong and that what you are doing is right. Human nature is evil, but we are imbued with a sense of God and right and wrong whether we follow our inner selves or not. The saying is meant to demonstrate this part of our nature and comes from Go Himself. The Bible contains all the wisdom and instructions for life that we need.
God Bless.
Did Hillary moon him from the front?
too bad....he shouldnt be getting all hyped up with the lies he and his ilk holler and rant about with red faces ... minor?? well, I would say... but I wont.. BUT, I dont offer him any good wishes....hes a liar and a crook..
You had to know this post was gonna bring you flame. I will say this, at least you are being honest. I always wonder how many people offer prayers when things like this happen because it's what they think they are supposed to do, but don't really mean it.
Events like this IMO really test our own senses of decency. As much as some would like to be genuinely sympathetic, they cannot find it within themselves to do it. I find myself in that category sometimes. My solution is to just say nothing and keep my ill thoughts to myself, and pray to see things differently.
