I sincerely hope the senator has a speedy recovery, and that he soon chooses the "wanting to spend more time with my family" option.
From what I can gather, Trent Lott's new book is full of vitriol directed at Senator Frist. Reid's early retirement might give Lott the chance he needs to regain a leadership position in that great deliberative body. Of course, the position of Minority Leader could only be filled by a Dim, but who would know the difference if Lott were to switch? He could then be intellectually honest, at least.

And if he steps down as minority leader. Up to the plate steps Hillary.
God forbid.

One of the sad things I would like to report is an article in the National Enquirer 2-3 years ago. The article said that Senator Kennedy had advanced cirrhosis of the liver. Nothing has yet happened to Senator Kennedy. Sad.

Yup. Went over to the dark side to check and one DUmmy is already speculating that ['' Hey ''the administration has drugs that can induce heart attacks,......first Cindys mother and now Harry Reid,,,,]''.....I thought they went nuts when they were saying that Bush and Rove controlled the weather and made the sonami happen but this is way over the top even for the Dummies........

I saw that too, and I thought whatthehey? I thought, no--Bill Frist is too healthy, then I thought maybe Trent Lott...but when I read the article, sheesh. What's Drudge thinking of? But I notice Drudge has changed it...

>>>May God comfort Senator Reid and his family/friends as well as guide his doctors into helping him into a speedy and full recovery.
And Retirement.

People can recover fully from minor strokes. I hope he will too.
They just have to be careful to forestall another one.
To: bdfromlv
Sound like TIA'S. Regardless they still result in a loss of oxygen to the brain.
