It is, of course, pure garbage.

That's right. Their claim is that the laws of physics are insufficient to govern the world. They ignore what God said about the matter:
Matt 12:38-39
Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, "Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you." He answered, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Your hermeneutics are disasterous (as if that matters to you). At least make an effort to put this verse in context. He was referring to His messianic claim being challenged by a skeptical ruling class. To insinuate that the Lord Jesus Christ was saying anything at all supportive of the evolution argument is defamatory and scurrilous. You must be utterly vile to make such a suggestion.
