Me, too. People forget that, absent us and the Russians, the Turks are the big dogs in the Middle East. In the 19th century, the Turks showed they could handle the Russians, too.
The Israelis are scrappy and well-equipped, but in a straight fight on the ground with the Turks? Man, I don't know. It'd be a damn sight tougher fight than anything Israel had ever been in.
Besides, Israel and Turkey have a special side relationship, anyway.
But all those other Arab states? Against the Turks, they'd be dogmeat. Just the way it is.
I think the Turks could probably whip anyone between Germany and India, Russia and the South Pole.
The Turks have not exactly exhibited a great deal of restraint when dealing with Kurdish issues, either...
