My Letter to Ms. Sheehan
MS. Sheehan I understand your grief over the loss of your son.
I see how your grief might be turned into hatred for the Commander and Chief who ordered him there, however indirectly.
I also agree that this war could have been avoided, at least for awhile, after all, any war can.
Where I have problems with your statements are only where I feel you do not understand, and in fact degrade, your son's sacrifice, and make no mistake it was a sacrifice.
Your son, like many others of his compatriots, volunteered to defend this country against all enemies foreign or domestic, not the enemies that the President so designates, not enemies that a Congress designates, but the enemies of the American people, enforced by our dully elected representatives.
It was not a President whom allowed this war to proceed, but a vote of the dully elected representatives of this great Nation, the Congress, twice.
If we are not bound by our elected representatives, then what kind of country our we living in.
If our fighting forces do not follow a civilian elected government (The Congress, not just the Presidency, whom some think may not have been properly elected), then what type of government do we live under.
If a minority of our dully elected officials can control the direction of our government, no matter how vehement their opposition, than I submit to you we do not live in a country that our forefathers envisioned and indeed your son would have lived or died for not.
I served for 10 years under a Commander and Chief whom I felt did not best represent the ideals of our country, but I would have given my life on his and the elected Representative Governments orders had it been given.
My parents both disagreed with the Commander and Chief at the time that I served, but I would have EXPECTED them to have treated my death with the honor it disserved, to have said that I died serving honorably for my country, and not have tried to dishonor my death with feigned righteous indignation at a President whom I served under, with honor.
GW is my neighbor.
I'm just down the road near Ft. Hood.
I'll do what I can to help and I'll be there.
Bravo to all you folks making the big trip.
Use me!

This is so great! Way to go. It will be wonderful for the troops to see they have support. I'll be with you guys in spirit.
My heart breaks for the loss of all our troops, yet Cindy doesn't speak for me either.
New Lexus
I just got my new Lexus RX400h, and returned to the dealer the next day,
complaining that I couldn't figure out how the radio worked.
The salesman explained that the radio was voice activated.
Watch this! he said.. "Nelson!" The radio replied, "Ricky or Willie?"
"Willie!" he continued...and On The Road Again came from the speakers.
I drove away happy, and for the next few days, every time I'd say,
"Beethoven!" I'd get beautiful classical music, and if I said,
"Beatles!"
I'd get one of their awesome songs.
One day, a couple ran a red light and nearly creamed my new car, but I
swerved in time to avoid them.
"A$$-HOLES!" I yelled.....
The French National Anthem began to play, sung by Jane Fonda and Michael
Moore, backed up by John Kerry on guitar, Al Gore on drums and Bill
Clinton
on sax....
I LOVE this car !!!!!!!!!
bttt^
Very heartening to see this happening.
"You don't speak for me, Cindy Sheehan"

(8/19/05 - HOUSTON) It's the news no military family wants to receive -- their loved one has been killed in action. This week, a Pasadena mother learned her son, a US Marine, was killed in Afghanistan. Phillip George was just 22 years old...and now his father is bringing him home. Lance Corporal Phillip George was not the only member of the family in the Middle East. His father was there, too, working in Iraq. The Marine's family describes him as quiet and loyal, but also, a young man who let his commitment to country speak volumes. "He thought the Marines were the most dedicated, the most well trained, and the most disciplined," said Aaron George of his brother, Phillip. Aaron says his younger brother will be remembered as a man dedicated to God and country. He died this week serving in Afganistan. He originally signed up to serve on the first anniversary of the September 11 attacks. That just strengthened his resolve, that he wanted to do something, that he wanted to be a part of the military, and protect the country," Aaron told us. Phillip followed the footsteps of his father, Carson. Carson served as a soldier in Vietnam, and is currently working as a contractor in Iraq. Now, Carson is on his way to Afghanistan to escort his son's body home. "This is especially hard for my father, so for him to get the chance to come home with him probably provides a little more closure and makes it a little bit easier to deal with," said Aaron. Lance Corporal George grew up in Houston, but also had strong ties in Pasadena, attending church there at Alta Vista Baptist. Arrangements for his funeral are pending
BUMP!!
Vietnam had Hanoi Jane, Iraq has Baghdad Cindy! At least Hanoi Jane didn't have a son who gave his life for his country and she bashed as the murder of thousands of innocent Iraqi's like Baghdad Cindy is doing when she accuses our soldiers of this in her insane statements. The peril in which our brave and honorable troops have been placed because of the stupidity coming out of this woman's mouth is just as treasonous as it was when Hanoi Jane placed our POW's lives at higher risk by her actions during Vietnam. I strongly suggest that signs start going up in counter protests in Crawford and across the Nation labeling her "BAGHDAD CINDY" which would be a just and true label for her. I have read the emails sent to Mike Gallagher after his groups Crawford, Texas appearance and I was shocked and appalled ( http://www.mikeonline.com/audienceletters ). Not only are they degrading themselves by using this type of language in their uneducated and falsely informed points of view, but they are degrading our troops who are serving in Iraq. These soldiers are serving in order to help develop and protect the freedoms in Iraq that we are so privileged to enjoy in America. How can they overlook all of the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi men, women, and children who were murdered in cold blood by Hussein and his government and still say that Americans are the murderers? In Baghdad Cindy and her followers cases, the old saying " better to be thought stupid than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt" seems to fit quite well.
