I live in PA and for the past few weeks, our newspaper OP-ED pages have been filled with angry letters to the editor about that raise. I hope to God they get booted to the curb come election day. The most infuriating thing about that post for me was the whiny, condescending (not to mention politically tone-deaf) response: "Yeah, but we work really hard." Other P.A. legislators have used that same sorry rationalization. At $122,000 a year, they apparently believe they work 3 times harder than our local police officers.
