Simply eliminate parole. We've done that in Virginia and it's worked wonders.

Agreed. Ten years should be ten years. IMO, the parole system leaves in the mind of the criminal the perspective that, if caught, they might only serve a fraction of the actual sentence. If every burglar knew that they would serve ten years minimum, guaranteed, there would be far fewer burglaries.

Simply eliminate parole. We've done that in Virginia and it's worked wonders. Its common practice in Los Angeles County to release prisoners early due to overcrowding. It 'works wonders' if you are a criminal.
