I was told that service men and women are not allowed to attend these things in uniform, That's what the officer at Ft Hood told me when I called them about last week's event.

There were a couple that did show though, but not in Uniform, correct. They can't take "sides" or be political. Though we know what "side" 99% of our troops are on.

Why are the John Kerry in trainings allowed to wear unifroms though?

Oooops! I thought they could, as long as they weren't saying or doing against their CIC. My bad!

So they can come in civies, LOL!

Any nearby colleges? CRs and YRs.

Folks with American Legion and VFW affiliations could also contact commanders of local and driving-distance posts.

Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops?

Basil, you don't know how much I wish I could just hit the road and show up in Crawford. But I won't be able to make any trips your way in the foreseeable future. My money and my kid are in college in one week. So it's back to beans and rice diet for a few years...

PS: You guys need one of these...
