There was an earlier thread?
Maybe it was pulled because some FReepers love to make anything dirty. I see it on this thread.
Count your blessing Xena.
I was tossed over the top and fractured L-4 and L-5 but luckily healed naturally with much pain after choosing not to have surgery.
I was riding on a beach with boulders and the gal riding with me said I did a good tuck and roll when hitting land.
I still don't know how I got ahead of the horse as when I looked up his hooves were going over the top of me.
I new I was hurt but I had to get up and ride back so I could pick my Quadroplegic Teen (at the time teen) up from H.S. Had staff from the school go over to the hosp. with us directly after.
The ER doc said the only reason he signed a release and did not admit me was he too was a father of a severly disabled child whom he was raising on his own because his wife bailed.
I was very fortunate.
Lord have Mercy was I fortunate.
Oh I know! I used to come off lots when I was young.... most times I wasn't hurt but one time I broke an arm. Last time I fell I was over 30, and the bruises hurt longer than I remember from my youth ;~D
No No Blair bashing she is a Psuedeo Brit now.
An optimist still feels lucky when she's just fallen off a horse!
What idiot in Oregon?
Eastern Oregon, Valley where?
I missed that one.
Source, please.
Please!! He was in my Washington State, near by Seattle (It is easy to get us mixed up with Oregonians who have an equal share of nuts).
We don't want to miss one of our nuts.
For some weird reason I keep thinking of Catherine the Great and her little escapade with her horse.
Neigh!
Why do you think she is a new rider?
Becky
Exactly:) Lucky fall, stupid remark.
Becky
Apparently she is a new rider.... Here's an article I found on Google:
Madonna takes to horse riding
Tuesday, July 19 2005, 10:19 BST -- by Kris Green
Madonna has turned her hand to horse riding.
The queen of pop reportedly booked an hour-long riding lesson at the Stag Lodge Stables in Richmond Park, South West London.
A source told The Mirror: "Madonna didn't want to be recognised at all, so she booked the place out. She was adamant and insisted that she have the arena to herself."
Madonna also hired the horses and equipment for three days so she could practice in the grounds of her £9m Wiltshire mansion.
The source added: "She really seems keen on riding now."

I may be over the hill and dried on the vine but when I see a Dodge Pick Up Man, Cattle Roper or plain old Wrangler Cowboy trotting along on a horse for a split moment the Aroma, Vision and Cool Ocean Breeze blowing through my hair I feel like a young blossom.
MMMMMMMM AHHHHHHHH. (giggle)
Well that's cool.
She might be human after all:)
Becky
"No surprise there."
Not exactly the first time she's been laid up, either.
I'll agree to like her better if she sticks with riding. I just realized that I respect the celebrities a little more if I learn that they ride and have horses... Especially when they become fairly serious about it like Swayze or Bo Derek or Viggo Mortensen or even Christopher Reeve.
It's humbling having horses.... they don't give a rip about your ego, you have to work with them just like the rest of us do... Even if they don't muck their own stalls. ;~D
Even ole N'ry 'Iggins would have thrown his hands up in impotent frustration with 'er ladyship' Madonna
Maybe the horse was jealous because of the number of times she's been ridden.
So, it was your state? Sorry. Wouldn't want to hurt the tourist travel. :-)
