The ancient world is indeed full of unexplained wonders. However, some of the items mentioned are simply incorrect.
Leveling a field to a fraction of an inch has no meaning when the particles that make up the field are larger than such a small fraction. This is hearsay, not fact.
The Russians domesticated foxes in the 1950's with the resultant animals being very much like dogs.
And, mica is no better shield from EMF than any other rock. Its use was probably associated with its level surface or highly reflective nature.
Point is, there are many mysteries, but let's not make more by misunderstanding or misrepresenting the facts.

One other thing. a straight line is easy to make with a beam of light. And a simple beam of light can be made from the reflection of a mirror. So it's not all the big a deal that the walls were straight.

I read articles about the Russian fox taming and I don't recall that they resulted with animals that were like dogs, just tame foxes.
