I'll take Johnny Miller over Lanny Wadkins everyday of the week. I thought Curtis Strange was awful, but Lanny is just as bad. Just nonstop meaningless babble.
CBS does golf better than the other two networks combined. Their on-course commentary from David Feherty and Gary McCord makes the coverage for me. I don't have much use for ABC's coverage as a rule - dry, dry, dry.
That said, I think I heard Lanny Wadkins say "it'll be interesting to see how he does" about 30 times yesterday. Of course it's interesting, Lanny - that's why you're on site.
I'll swap ya there. Lanny does engages in meaningless babble, but he also makes good points. OTOH, Miller chronically denigrates the players to no useful purpose. It's disgusting. Miller has a problem that he and the network are happy to share with all of us poor captives: his eight-track tapes of useless criticism played over and over, as Publius Valerius mentioned.
